Alan Jerram, print and web graphic designer
Doing business as The Virtual Agency, I have over 20 years of direct involvement in a diverse array of successful projects which has elevated my knowledge of how graphic design, messaging and marketing strategy best converge to achieve client goals in powerful ways.
Career History
After graduating with a Batchelors degree in journalism from Cal State University at Northridge, I developed a niche building print magazine consumer electronics buyers guides for media companies such as Primedia, Emap Publications and McMullen Publishing.
Providing the product research and related infographics, my product buying directories have appeared in many CE-oriented magazines including Home Theater, Car Audio & Electronics, AV Interiors, Digital TV and Stereophile.
Over the years I have also provided outside design and production services to direct mail catalogers and trade magazine publishers including Crown Publications, Maclean Hunter West, Performance Products and Xplain Corporation.
More recently I have focused on website development and internet-related advertising/collateral design.
Outside Interests
When I’m not pushing pixels, my time is devoted to family activities, gardening and playing the guitar alongside my daughter who is quite the budding musician and artist. My volunteer activites include helping out with my son’s various sports teams and acting as website chairperson for the Conejo Valley Days community event.
